On the Water
Jimmy Lewis Super Model 135 is another classic shape from JL. This board has a more powerful squared off tail block, which delivers good pop and excellent control on landings. It’s a great freestyle shape that you can still have fun with in less than ideal unhooked conditions. JL’s legendary “dominatrix” concave bottom shape helps to smooth out chop and provides the ideal combination of grip, control, smooth carving and mad pop. One tester thought all of JL’s shapes were freeride oriented like the legendary Model 3. The Super Model changed his mind in a hurry. If you’re a JL fan, this board is a must-have.

Construction
The Jimmy Lewis boards are built using semi-custom technology that’s admired more for their finely detailed looks and responsive performance than for scratch resistance or bombproof durability. Internally, and on the water, the boards are built tough, but if you kite near rocks you’ll have to deal with more scratches and dings compared to your everyday snowboard tech finish.
