Cabrinha Kiteboarding - 2014 Board Range

Oct 3, 2013

Cabrinha 2014 Surfboards

PC Signature Model

The PC Signature model surfboard is the ultimate performance kite surfboard. Pete’s personal board had to prove itself as a surfboard before entering the testing phase for a kiteboard. The PC Signature 5’10 is the same shape as the S-Quad 5’10 but its exotic construction and minimal features make it the pro’s choice when surfing without straps. The Pete Cabrinha signature model has a PU foam core, wood stringer and polyester laminate. The PC signature models comes with a unique carbon integrated EVA front pad to reinforce the area under the front foot. We have added a generous coverage of EVA hex pods for full deck traction without all the weight. The tail area is also reinforced with bamboo under the heel areas of the back foot. And finally the EVA tail pad has an arch support and a tail kick. The PC comes with 4 high performance fins.

Skillit

The 2014 Skillit mirrors the state of progressive surfing whether you ride with or without straps. When riding without straps the concave deck shape cradles your feet and creates a firm platform for all of your trick riding. When surfing small to medium sized waves the thruster fin set-up is perfect for quick snaps in the hook. The Skillit is constructed with a balance of durability and flex in mind using our proprietary cork / bamboo Eco Series construction. The Skillit also features our exclusive EVA hex pods for a full deck traction coverage without all of the weight.

Subwoofer

The Sub Woofer is rewriting the book on kite surfing fun. The Sub Woofer is a wider, fuller board that is lively and light under your feet in all types of conditions. The Sub Woofer’s generous volume helps to generate speed and power in even the most marginal conditions. Yet when the conditions are on, the Sub Woofer steps up to the plate with the type of performance suited for strapped or unstrapped riding.

Trigger

Squad

The S-Quad ups the ante when the surf starts to pulse. This four finned surfboard is ideal for down the line surfing in medium to large waves yet is surprisingly loose in small surf. The S-Quad can be ridden strapped or un-strapped depending on the conditions and your personal preference. The quad fin and straighter outline helps to hold an edge during high speed surfing. The S-Quad also features our exclusive EVA hex pods for a full deck traction coverage without all of the weight.

Cabrinha 2014 Boards

Alias

One of the most important tools in our AIR Collection of light wind products is our Alias freeride directional board. The Alias is a super efficient light wind board with no limit to its performance or usage. The Alias, when combined with our Contra light wind kite can have you flying across the water in well under 10 knots. The hybrid design is a combination of a race board and freeride directional, you get the best of both worlds in one board. The Alias, with its quad fins will get you upwind in seconds. Once pointed off the wind the Alias becomes one of the best downwind models for speed and maneuverability. What makes this board so lively is its light weight yet durable construction. This composite sandwich board contains an EPS core wrapped in carbon, cork and bamboo. The Alias comes with 4 computer cut G10 fins, a custom cut full deck pad and light weight foot straps.

Wakeskate

What do you do when you’ve mastered the art of freestyle? You loose the straps, grab a Jason Stone Pro Model Wakeskate and take your game to the next level. Whether you are an intermediate rider or a seasoned pro, the Jason Stone Wakeskate from Cabrinha will challenge you in ways you have never imagined. The simplicity of this all wood design is in strong contrast to the huge fun you’ll have riding it. Its a must have board for anyone’s quiver.

Stylus

The Stylus is made to perform in the fickle conditions known as threshold winds. Threshold winds are generally thermal breezes with wind speeds just strong enough to fly a kite. The flat rocker line and extra wide outline make the most of these less than ideal wind conditions. In many cases the Stylus twin tip will be the difference between sitting on the beach or getting a full kiteboarding session.

Spectrum

The Spectrum is a Universal Ride model which means that it can perform in any and all conditions suited for twin tips. The Spectrum implements many of the construction techniques and materials often found in our high end models. Features such as: Paulownia wood core for strength and rebound. Urethane side wall construction. The Spectrum is a progression model which means that it has the performance ability to keep up with your riding level as you progress.

Tronic

The Tronic is a performance freeride model with a shape and build that allows a rider the ability to crossover and experiment in any and all types of riding including hucking huge lofty airs. The Tronic twin tip delivers top performance and slash and run type of riding in small waves or choppy water. The Tronic curved tip outline and generous rocker is a chop killer. It cuts through rough water with ease and adds a whole new dimension of g-force inducing turns when banking off of waves or redirecting in the flats.

Xo Siren

The XO Siren model is inspired by none other than the one and only Susi Mai. As a leader in performance riding and a role model for many, it was an easy task to create a board suited to her needs and the needs of the growing population of women in kiteboarding. Our approach to developing the XO was to start from scratch and engineer this board from the ground up. The result is a performance freestyle model with a soft / responsive flex. Details like appropriate sizes and widths, narrower stance options and lighter weights all make this board the ideal choice for women of all levels.

Xcaliber PRO

Alby’s freestyle game is so refined that we had to build an Alby Signature model to match his performance. The XCaliber Signature model is a collaborative design with PKRA pro Alberto Rondina. Made with the highest grade carbon fiber for a light and lively performance with the type of pop to launch huge freestyle tricks.

Xcaliber

The XCaliber comes in two versions that share the same features that make the XCaliber the podium proven competition freestyle board. The XCaliber features a low rocker line and a tip to tail bottom shape. These are just two of the many features that propelled Alby Rondina to the podium on the PKRA World Tour time after time.

Custom CBL

The Custom CBL (Carbon Basalt Laminate) is dedicated to high performance wakestyle riding. Designed with the most extreme rocker, outline, bottom shaping, and exotic materials in our line, the Custom CBL has the lockdown on performance regardless of whether you are riding with a kite or at the cable park. The Custom CBL is built with basalt fibers for excellent pop and resilience on flat water or obstacles. The Custom CBL version stays true to its core by keeping with its original progressive rocker line and finish details including 25 mm fins, and a 3D deck without a handle option.

Custom

This Custom version has a slightly lower rocker line for quick bursts of speed and flat water pop. This modified rocker line aids in upwind ability and is excellent for takeoffs and landings. The Triax laminate construction makes this version forgiving when building on your wakestyle routine. The Custom progresses with a modified bottom shape that can be ridden with or without fins. The Custom can be ridden with our H1, H2 straps or with boots. New to the Custom this year is the option to attach a handle.

Cabrinha 2014 Footstrap - H1

The H1 is a one strap asymmetrical body shape which provides a positive fit for the rider looking for board control with ease of use. The H1 is supportive yet lightweight and flexible. The H1 can be used for all types of twin tip riding from freestyle to freeriding. The H1 attaches to the board with minimal effort and allows for multiple stance options with duck and heel toe offset options. It sits on a super cushy footpad with arch support, toe grips, and generous heel coverage.

Cabrinha 2014 Footstrap - H2

The H2 steps up the connection equation with a two strap, wide body backless binding. The H2’s wider base and fuller coverage cradles the foot for more control and precision to create as much edge pressure as you need when busting huge freestyle tricks. The H2’s tunable ultra soft footbed creates a perfect landing pad to keep your heels intact when dropping from the sky.
